What is osteopathic treatment?

Our special skill lies in our ability to diagnose dysfunction in the body by touch. Osteopathic treatment involves the gentle manipulation of the body to bring relief and improvement of your health and well-being.

Who can be helped by Osteopathy?

Most people seek help from an osteopath to deal with pain. These include the common aches and pains due to strains, falls and overuse, as well as more long standing back and neck probems. It can often alleviate the problems associated with stress and tension including chronic headaches.

Yet many come for relief of other problems, too. Feelings of tiredness, headaches, bloated stomach, period problems or respiratory illnesses are just some symptoms which show that the normal state of well-being of the body is disrupted. Osteopathic treatment aims to discover the cause of the problem and its influences on the functioning on the rest of the body. It helps with gentle manipulation to restore good function in the affected area so that the whole body can return to a healthy balance.
