I joined Castle Street Clinic in 1998 after 4 years in a clinic in Hatfield specialising in paediatrics and difficult cases. I have yoga teacher training and find this approach to restoring function very beneficial in helping patientsí rehabilitation following treatment.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, including children and those who require special care
Osteopaths are trained to use a very highly developed sense of touch as well as knowledge and skill to evaluate the problem. Areas of tension within the body can be detected and resolved to restore balance and harmony. Our clinical training ensures that unsuitable conditions for osteopathic treatment are recognised and referred for further investigation.
Osteopathy is proven to be very safe and effective and in recognising that the body has the innate ability to heal itself. Gentle manipulative techniques return the body to a more effective way of functioning.
Osteopathy is very effective in treating some sporting injuries as well as internal organs and the musculoskeletal system. There are many conditions that can be helped not only back pain, however, if you are unsure whether it is right for you please call and speak to me personally.
On the first visit you will be asked to undress to your underwear, after that it is not usually necessary.

The clinic is situated on the first floor. If you are bringing your baby for treatment, please use a harness or sling rather than a pushchair, if possible.
If for any reason ground floor access is preferable for you, alternative arrangements can be made for treatment. In this case for more information, or for an appointment please call Ann on 01483 504508.
