I am a Registered Osteopath, qualifying with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy. Prior to this, I worked for several years as a Sports and Remedial Therapist and have a wide experience of treating sports people, from a range of disciplines and ability. I currently works at two practices in Worthing and a Sports Clinic in Hove (recommended therapists for the Brighton Marathon). I treat a wide range of age groups, from children to the elderly, caring for those with chronic/long-term conditions to those with episodes of acute and sudden pain. Osteopathy treats each person as an individual and I will assess you from a mechanical, functional and postural standpoint, as well as considering other aspects of your life that may be impacting on your current (or past) health, such as your occupation, sporting activities and personal and medical history. This ensures treatment is specifically tailored to you and we are not just treating symptoms, without dealing with the cause of the problem. I work closely with patients in explaining the cause of their problems and advise on stretching and strengthening exercises, posture and ergonomics and relaxation techniques in order to prevent further problems occurring. I undertake at least 30 hours of professional development in order to ensure I am fully up to date with the latest advances in manual therapy.
